If your baby is awake, we can create beautiful awake images too. The goal is not to force one narrow version of a newborn session. It is to work with the baby and still create timeless images.

For in-home sessions, I help you keep prep focused on the few things that matter most, like clothing and which rooms may work best. You do not need a perfect home, and you do not need to overthink every detail.
The goal is to give you clear guidance ahead of time, so you feel informed and supported.
After the session, the process continues in a clear, predictable way. Your proof gallery arrives within four days, and your final edited images are delivered quickly after you choose your favorites.
And if your baby is already here, it is still worth reaching out. Many families book after delivery, and older newborns can still be photographed beautifully, especially in the Baby In Your Arms Studio Session or the In-Home Lifestyle Session.

What the session looks like
We will create a mix of gently posed baby portraits, parent images, sibling photographs, family portraits, and newborn details.
The session includes five to ten setups with two color themes of your choice, along with wrapped and unwrapped photographs of your baby.
There is time for feeding, changing, soothing, and settling as we move through the session.
Choose this when
Choose Studio Deluxe for the widest range of newborn photographs in a single appointment.
It makes sense when parent, sibling, and family images matter as much as the posed baby portraits, or when you want enough variety for an album and framed wall art.
Another option may make more sense when
Choose Baby In Your Arms when the photographs you care about most are the ones with your baby held close and multiple prop setups are not important.
Choose Mini Wrapped when the photographs you want most are styled wrapped portraits of your baby and you prefer a shorter, more focused studio experience.
Choose In-Home Lifestyle when staying home or including your living space matters more than styled newborn setups.

25 hand-edited high-resolution digital images chosen by you from a proof gallery of 60 to 80 images.

We photograph parents together with the baby, each parent individually, and a range of gently guided moments while your baby is held safely.
The studio setup remains simple so the attention stays on your baby and the connection between you.
Choose this when
Choose Baby In Your Arms when the photographs you care about most are parent-baby images rather than posed newborn setups.
It also makes sense when your baby is older, you want less emphasis on props, or you prefer a shorter appointment.
Another option may make more sense when
Choose Studio Deluxe when you want multiple styled setups, posed baby portraits, sibling and family photographs, and the broadest range of images.
Choose Mini Wrapped when you are drawn more to styled solo portraits of your newborn than photographs centered on holding your baby.
Choose In-Home Lifestyle when you want the session to include more of your family’s everyday surroundings.

Before your session, I plan the styling so the setups work beautifully together. Wraps, textures, props, and small details are selected with the finished collection in mind.
During the session, we move through the three wrapped setups at your baby’s pace. There is still time for feeding, changing, soothing, and settling whenever your newborn needs it.
The result is a varied but visually cohesive collection that keeps the attention on your baby.
Choose this when
Choose Mini Wrapped when the photographs you care about most are styled solo portraits of your newborn and you would rather put the session time toward those images than a broader mix of baby and family photographs.
It is especially well suited to families who love the look of my wrapped newborn work and want a concise collection with thoughtful styling and variety.
Another option may make more sense when
Choose Studio Deluxe when you want the fullest studio experience, with wrapped and unwrapped baby portraits, more setups, parent photographs, siblings, full-family portraits, and the widest variety of newborn images.
Choose Baby In Your Arms when the photographs that matter most to you are of your baby being held and the connection between you.

Mini Wrapped is designed entirely around your newborn. We create three styled wrapped setups in one color theme during the session.
Parent, sibling, and full-family photographs are not part of this session. If you would like photographs with your baby, Studio Deluxe or Baby In Your Arms will be a better fit.

We photograph your baby alone, in your arms, with siblings, with pets, and with the family together.
We include the nursery, bedroom, nursing photographs when requested, and the small details that connect the images to your home.
The posing remains gentle and directed, but the finished photographs feel more lived-in than the styled studio sessions.
Choose this when
Choose In-Home Lifestyle when staying home would make the day easier or when your home is part of what you want to remember.
It is especially useful when including pets, photographing older siblings in familiar surroundings, or scheduling newborn photos for an older baby, up to 3 months old.
Another option may make more sense when
Choose Studio Deluxe when you want multiple posed baby setups, wraps, props, and the widest range of studio photographs.

It is still worth reaching out. If your baby is already here, choose a preferred date from my calendar or contact me with your baby’s birth date. The date you select is not the actual shoot date until I confirm it, but it gives us a starting point.
If your baby is older than the earliest newborn window (5 to 21 days after birth), you still have options. The Baby In Your Arms session is available for babies up to 2 months old, and the In-Home Lifestyle session is available for babies up to 3 months old.
Not necessarily.
The more posed studio newborn sessions usually work best between 5 and 21 days after birth. Older babies can still be photographed with an approach that depends less on sleepy newborn posing.
The Baby In Your Arms session and the In-Home Lifestyle session are the two options I usually recommend for older newborns.

That is normal. Newborn sessions include time for feeding, soothing, diaper changes, and breaks. Some babies sleep deeply. Some are awake for part of the appointment. Some need more time in their parents’ arms.
I work with the baby in front of me and will not force a pose that does not make sense that day.

Yes, when the session you book allows pets.
For in-home newborn sessions, pets can be included naturally in your home while remaining safely supervised.
For eligible studio newborn sessions, small and mid-sized dogs may be included. Please let me know at booking so I can plan their photographs. When your dog is not being photographed, they must remain securely controlled by a responsible adult or be moved to another safe location arranged in advance.
For studio sessions, please plan for a potty break before arrival, clean paws, dogs staying off furniture, and no roaming near props or photography equipment. Accidents, pet-caused damage, or excessive cleaning may result in a $100 cleanup fee.
After booking, you will receive prep guidance and access to an online styling service.
Soft neutrals, light colors, gentle texture, and simple clothing generally photograph well. The outfits should feel connected without matching or distracting from the baby.
Wraps, headbands, bonnets, blankets, baskets, and newborn props are provided when they are included with your session.
Your prep guide will explain what to bring for your baby and family.
Focus on a few likely areas, such as the nursery, primary bedroom, family room, or another space with good light. Make the bed if we may use the bedroom, clear the nightstands, and move obvious clutter from the areas where your family may sit or hold the baby.
