Simply White Studio Holiday Mini Sessions in the Seattle Area

Absolutely. You do not need to know how to pose or figure out what to do once you arrive.

I’ll guide your family throughout the session, beginning with your whole-family portraits and then moving into children or siblings and parent-child combinations. I’ll give you clear direction when you need it while leaving room for natural expressions, movement, and interaction.

That’s okay. I never expect young children to stay still, smile on cue, or stay engaged for the entire session.

We’ll begin with the family photographs that matter most, and I’ll adjust as we go based on your child’s mood and attention. Sometimes a little movement, play, or a quick change of pace is all we need. The goal isn’t perfect behavior — it’s to give your child room to be themselves while I guide the session and look for the moments that work.

Yes. I designed the Simply White setup with holiday cards in mind and tested photographs from it across a wide variety of card templates.

The bright background and clean composition give you flexibility for different layouts, while the evergreen wreath and seasonal details keep the photographs clearly festive. I’ll also aim for both polished, camera-aware portraits and more relaxed moments so you have different kinds of images to choose from.

Card templates vary by company and design, so no single photograph will fit every layout exactly, but holiday-card use was part of the setup planning from the beginning.

After booking, you’ll receive my preparation guide and access to my online styling service to help you coordinate one family look for the session.

Because the setting is bright and neutral, your wardrobe becomes an important part of the finished photograph. I’ll help you choose colors and pieces that work well together and complement the set without making everyone look overly matched.

Wardrobe changes are not part of this mini session. One thoughtfully coordinated look is all you need.

I start with the photographs most families care about most: everyone together.

From there, we’ll move into children or sibling portraits and parent-child combinations. If you’d like to use the oversized gold bell, milk-and-cookies setup, or include a pet, we can work those in as time allows.

Every family and every child is different, so the exact mix will vary rather than following a guaranteed shot list.

Yes. Both are part of the Simply White holiday setup and can be incorporated into your session.

We’ll photograph your main family and child combinations first, then add these more playful elements as time allows. Your children’s ages will also help determine which props and activities make the most sense for your family and the flow of the session.

Yes. Your session includes your immediate family, and grandparents may be added for $35 per grandparent.

Because this is a short mini session, it helps to keep the session focused on the family combinations that matter most to you.

Yes. I know dogs are an important part of the family, and I’m happy to include small and mid-sized dogs in your Simply White session.

Because these are short mini sessions booked back to back, there is limited time for cleanup between families. If your dog sheds, please give them a good brushing before you arrive.

It’s also worth keeping in mind that including a dog takes some of our session time and attention, so we may not be able to fit quite as much portrait variety into 15 minutes.

For everyone’s safety and to protect the studio, dogs cannot wander freely, climb on the furniture, or be near studio equipment. I ask that your dog join us for the photographs they are included in, and that you have a plan for them once their part of the session is finished.

Your proof gallery is delivered within 4 days after your session, once payment has been received in full and excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas blackout days.

You then have 7 days to choose your included photographs. When selections are submitted within that window, your final hand-edited images are delivered within 7 days after I receive your selections, again excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas blackout days.

If you are ordering holiday cards, be sure to allow additional time for your chosen card company’s production and shipping schedule.

Yes. Your session includes 10 hand-edited high-resolution digital images selected from a proof gallery of 40–60 photographs.

Additional hand-edited images are $20 each. You may also purchase the complete proof gallery for $200 with standard color correction.

Your individually hand-edited selections receive additional color correction, basic skin smoothing, removal of temporary blemishes or bruising, and removal of a few flyaways. The full-gallery upgrade receives standard color correction rather than that same individual hand-retouching on every image.

If someone in your family is sick, please let me know rather than feeling like you need to push through the session. We can move your session to another available date, and your deposit will stay with your booking.

A $100 deposit reserves your Simply White Holiday Mini Session. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session, and your proof gallery is released after payment has been received in full. The session price is $500 plus tax.
