In-home newborn sessions are available throughout Bothell when staying home feels better than packing everyone up during the newborn stage. For outdoor maternity and family photos, I help you choose from nearby Eastside or Seattle-area locations based on the season, the scenery, and the kind of gallery you want.
That combination matters when you are planning photos around pregnancy, a new baby, a first birthday, updated family portraits, older children, or a multi-generational gathering.
You do not need to arrive knowing how to pose or how to keep everyone engaged. I guide the session with a clear plan while still leaving room for feeding breaks, toddler movement, outfit adjustments, groupings with extended family, and the small pauses real families need.
“We first booked Lana for my maternity photoshoot and absolutely loved both the photos and the whole experience. She has an incredible eye for the right angles and made me look and feel beautiful, even with the extra pregnancy weight. We were so happy that we booked her again for our newborn photoshoot. Lana was amazing with our baby. She was gentle, patient, and so quick to capture the sweetest expressions. We truly loved working with her.” –Sonia T.
Start with Your Family’s Stage

Maternity Photography Near Bothell
Maternity sessions are for expecting parents who want to document pregnancy in a way that feels natural, comfortable, and connected.
Bothell families can choose studio maternity photos in Kirkland or outdoor maternity photos at selected Seattle-area locations. Studio sessions offer privacy, soft natural light, and an indoor plan that is easier to control. Outdoor sessions let the setting become part of the photos, whether you want open fields, water, trees, or a more scenic Pacific Northwest backdrop.
You do not need to know how to pose before you arrive. I will help with hands, angles, movement, where to look, and how to include your partner or older children in a way that feels natural.

Newborn Photography for Bothell Families
Newborn sessions are for families who want to remember the early days with their baby while having someone experienced guide the process.
Families can choose between studio newborn sessions in Kirkland and in-home newborn sessions in Bothell. Studio newborn sessions give you a prepared space, a controlled setup, and a soft, baby-centered look. In-home newborn sessions are helpful when you want to stay home, include siblings or pets more naturally, or photograph your baby in the place where your family is settling in together.
Your baby does not need to sleep perfectly during the session. Feeding, soothing, wakefulness, fussiness, and breaks are part of newborn photography. I follow your baby’s cues and guide the session around their comfort.

Family Photography for Every Stage
Family photos are not only for one age or one version of family life. They can document toddlers, young kids, older children, grown children, grandparents, and multi-generational family updates.
For Bothell families, outdoor sessions are available at selected Seattle-area and Eastside locations, and studio family sessions are available in Kirkland. Outdoor sessions give you more scenery, movement, and seasonal variety. Studio sessions keep the plan more predictable and remove weather from the equation.
Your children do not need to behave perfectly for family photos to work. I use movement, simple direction, and small adjustments so the session can keep going even if kids need time to warm up, move around, or reset.

Milestone and Birthday Photography
Milestone and birthday sessions are for babies and children who are changing quickly: sitting up, turning one, celebrating a birthday, or reaching an age you want to remember before it passes.
These sessions take place in the Kirkland studio and are designed to keep the focus on your child, not a busy setup. The goal is a simple, timeless set of portraits that shows their expressions, personality, and stage.
For first birthdays, you can choose a cake smash or a classic milestone session depending on the kind of photos you want. Not every milestone session needs cake, props, or a theme. Sometimes the strongest photos are the simple ones: your baby’s smile, serious face, little hands, standing, sitting, clapping, crawling, or leaning into you.
What Lana Helps With
Most families do not come into a session knowing exactly what to do. That is normal.
I guide posing, hands, angles, movement, and where to look. I’ll also help you know when to interact with your child and when to pause for a portrait.
Before the session, I send prep guidance so you know what matters and what is not worth overthinking. Clothing is usually the biggest source of stress, so I help you plan outfits that feel coordinated and appropriate for the location.
During the session, I adjust for the people in front of me. A newborn may need feeding or soothing. A toddler may need a reset. Older kids may need direction that does not feel stiff. A larger family group may need a clear plan so the session does not turn into everyone standing around waiting.
I keep things moving and adjust as needed so toddler energy, shy kids, or small pauses do not throw off the whole session.
“Lana has done both of my newborn photo shoots and a family shoot for us as well, and it has been an amazing experience every single time! Not only does she have the cutest studio, complete with every prop you can think of, but her extensive experience working with babies (and toddlers) is beyond impressive, allowing her to capture precious moments you will cherish forever. Our home is filled with photos that she has taken.” –Sativa R.
Studio, Outdoor, and In-Home Options from Bothell
Studio Sessions in Kirkland
The Kirkland studio is a practical option for Bothell families who want an indoor session with a clear setup and less planning.
Studio sessions are available for maternity, newborn, milestone, and family photos. The space is light-filled, private, and minimal, keeping the focus on your family. You do not have to watch the forecast, coordinate around sunset, or choose an outdoor location.
This option is especially useful when you want updated photos but do not want the extra decisions that come with planning an outdoor shoot.
Outdoor Sessions Across the Seattle Area
Outdoor sessions make sense when you want the setting to be part of the final gallery.
Depending on the session type and season, that might mean fields, lake, flowers, fall color, or a more scenic Pacific Northwest backdrop. I help you choose from my curated list of locations instead of expecting you to know which place will photograph best.
Outdoor sessions are especially useful for families who want more movement, more scenery, or a setting that gives the photos a stronger sense of place.
In-Home Newborn Sessions in Bothell
For newborn sessions, Bothell families may also choose an in-home lifestyle session when staying home feels easier.
This option is especially helpful if you want your baby photographed in the home you brought them to, want to include siblings or pets more naturally, or are working around recovery, feeding, and the reality of the newborn stage.
Your home does not need to look like a magazine. The focus stays on your baby and your family. A few prepared areas with workable light are enough, and I will guide where the session happens once I see the space.
