Seattle-Area Studio Family Portraits

A Studio Family Mini is designed for families who want beautiful, updated portraits without a lengthy session. I’ll have everything ready when you arrive and guide you throughout our time together so we can make the most of those 20 minutes.

We’ll focus on the family portraits that matter most to you, with time for smaller groupings when possible. Every family is a little different, especially when young children are involved, so I’ll adjust our pace as we go.

Please don’t worry about your child needing to behave a certain way for the photographs. I’ve worked with children of all ages and personalities, and I know that a little patience and flexibility can make a big difference.

Sometimes that means starting with your child in your arms, letting them move around a little, or finding a playful way to bring everyone together. I’ll guide you toward natural, connected moments while also working toward those lovely portraits where everyone looks at the camera.

Every child responds differently, so I can’t promise particular smiles or poses, but I’ll do my best to make the experience comfortable and enjoyable for your family.

Absolutely! I love photographing different generations together.

Your immediate family is included in the session, and grandparents are welcome to join for an additional $35 each.

If you’re bringing a larger group, the Extended Family add-on is $200 and accommodates up to 12 people total. It also adds 20 minutes to our time together, bringing your session to up to 40 minutes. The number of included hand-edited photographs remains 10.

Just let me know who’s coming when you book so I can plan our time and group portraits accordingly.

Of course! Babies are welcome in family sessions, and we can create lovely portraits of your little one in your arms and together with the rest of your family.

Just keep in mind that a Studio Family Mini is different from a dedicated newborn session. We won’t be doing posed solo newborn setups, and the shorter session doesn’t allow for the same slower, baby-led pacing.

If your main goal is to capture those early newborn details and portraits, I’d recommend taking a look at my newborn photography sessions to find the best fit.

Yes! Small and mid-sized dogs are welcome, provided they can be safely supervised and controlled.

Please mention your dog when booking so I can plan for their participation. A potty break before arriving and clean paws will help keep the studio ready for everyone.

When your dog isn’t being photographed, a responsible adult will need to supervise and securely control them. Dogs also need to stay off the furniture and away from photography equipment and props.

Please note that accidents, damage, or excessive cleaning may result in a $100 cleanup fee.

Absolutely! Choosing outfits is an important part of preparing for your portraits, and I’ll help make that process easier.

After booking, you’ll receive my session prep guide along with access to my online styling service. These resources will help you choose colors, textures, and clothing that photograph beautifully together.

I usually recommend soft, coordinating colors and simple pieces that complement one another without making everyone look too similar. The most important thing is that your family feels comfortable and looks like yourselves.

My private studio is located at 720 Market St, Ste E, Kirkland, WA 98033. It’s a welcoming space where I photograph families visiting from Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, and throughout the Greater Seattle area.

There’s usually plenty of free street parking near the studio, although availability can vary. I recommend allowing a little extra time to park and get settled before your appointment.

If you happen to arrive late, I’ll make the most of the time we have left, but we’ll still need to finish at the originally scheduled time.

Yes, you get to choose your favorites!

After your session, I’ll send you an online proof gallery with 40–60 photographs. You can take your time looking through them and select the 10 images you’d like me to hand-edit as part of your session.

And if you fall in love with more than 10, you’re welcome to purchase additional hand-edited photographs for $20 each.

You can also choose the $200 full-gallery upgrade, which includes all the images in your proof gallery with standard color correction rather than individual hand-retouching.

Your purchased high-resolution photographs are yours to enjoy, print, and share for personal use under the booking Terms.

I know how exciting it is to see your photographs after a session!

Once your session is paid in full, I’ll send your proof gallery within 4 days after your session. You’ll then have 7 days to look through the images and choose your favorites for hand editing.

After you submit your selections on time, your finished photographs will be ready within 7 days.

If you need longer to make your selections, you can still submit them, but your photographs will move to my next available editing schedule, and I’ll provide an updated delivery estimate.

You can book your session online by choosing a date and time that works for your family. A $100 deposit reserves your spot, and the remaining balance is due on the day of your session.

I know plans can change, especially with little ones! If you need to move your appointment, just let me know at least 72 hours ahead, and I’ll help you reschedule. One date change is included under the regular booking terms.

If someone in your family gets sick, please reach out, even if it’s close to your session. Illness is handled separately, so you won’t lose your deposit or use your regular reschedule allowance for a qualifying illness.

If you need to cancel, the deposit is generally not refundable unless an exception applies. You’ll be able to review the full booking terms before confirming your session.
