Rattlesnake Lake is one of the few maternity locations that I offer during the winter months. However, the weather can be unpredictable, and we may need to reschedule due to rain. When picking this location during winter, please give yourself an extra week in case we need to reschedule.

When is the best time to have a maternity session?

The ideal time for your maternity shoot is when you are between 28 and 32 weeks pregnant, but I am happy to work around your schedule. I recommend booking a month in advance to give you time to prepare.

We are not good at taking pictures; will you guide us?

I will direct and guide you the entire time, so you don’t have to worry about anything.

What is the best way to dress for our session?

Upon completing your booking, you will receive an email with prep info and tips, including the outfit inspiration guide and online styling service, to help you look your best for the session.

Color edit vs. hand-edit: what’s the difference?

Color editing includes an overall color adjustment to make the photos appear brighter, more colorful, and properly exposed.

Hand-editing includes basic skin smoothing, removal of blemishes, bruises, and a few fly-aways, and more detailed color adjustments. It gives your photos a more “polished” feel.

The Deluxe Session includes 20 hand-edited photos, and the Mini Session includes 10 hand-edited photos. Additional hand-edited photos could be purchased à la carte after you see your proof gallery. You also have the option to purchase all the photos from your session, which will include a color edit.

When and how will I get my images?

You will receive your online proof gallery within four days after your session. Seven days after you submit your selections, your hand-edited images will be delivered via a separate online gallery.
